“Arise, my love…

“Arise, my love
my beautiful one
and come away.
For behold,
the winter is past;
the rain is over
and gone”

“Arise, my love, my beautiful one, and come away
For behold, the winter is past; the rain is over and gone
The flowers appear on the earth, the time of singing has come,
And the voice of the turtle done is heard in the land.
The fig tree ripens its figs, and the vines are in blossom; they give forth fragrance.
Arise, my love, my beautiful one and come away
Let me see your face, let me hear your voice
For your voice is sweet and your face is lovely.”

                               –Song of Songs 2:10-14

When Jesus calls, it is not in angry demands. It is in sweet, relational tenderness. He meets me where I am. He gives me promises of hope. He speaks love over me. He calls me to beautiful places.

Redemption.
Delight.
Restoration.
